Gladys O’Brien
Gladys O’Brien, age 98, of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 2000, passed
away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. She is
survived by her son, Neil O’Brien and his wife, Mary Ann; three
grandsons, Tim O’Brien and his wife, Amy, Kevin O’Brien and his wife,
Jill and Jeff O’Brien; seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Faun, Eliana,
Joe, Drew, Harley and Zach; and many nieces and nephews.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Corneilius
“Connie” O’Brien, and her brother, Carl Rubey.
Gladys graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Ohio.
Upon marrying her husband, she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother,
working in EUM Church and assisting her husband in the writing and
editing the newsletter for the Ohio Fire Chief’s Association.
While living in Albuquerque, Gladys delighted in getting to know her
great grandchildren and attending Faith Lutheran Church. She
loved the staff at Elmcroft Assisted Living and Ambercare Hospice.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at
11:00 AM at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. There will be
no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
