Kurt E. Weeks Sr.
Kurt E. Weeks Sr., age 49, of Laura, passed away at 7:05 P.M. on
Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Kurt was born December 27,
1962 in Lubbock, Texas, to Diane G. (Knight) Weeks of Ansonia and the
late William S. Weeks.
In addition to his mother, Kurt is also survived by his fiancée, Susan
Renae Wieser of Laura; sons, Kurt E. Weeks Jr. of Marysville and D.
Kristopher Weeks of Marysville; grandson, Charles Raylee Weeks;
brothers & sisters, Kevin D. Weeks of Ansonia, William G. “Thang”
Weeks of Louisville, Kentucky, Robert S. Weeks of Greenville, Michael
S. Weeks of Ansonia, Patrick Lee & Joy Weeks of Conrad, Iowa, Mary
& Robert Anspach of Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Peggy L. Byford of
Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Kurt was an electrician at Challenge Electric in Lima. He served in the
U.S. Air Force. Kurt was a member of Oakland Church of the Brethren
Bradford, Ohio; Versailles Masonic Lodge #290 F & AM; 32nd Degree
Mason of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; Greenville Chapter #77
Royal Arch Masons of Ohio; and Celina Chapter #91 Order of Eastern
Star. Kurt taught Line Dancing with Kountry Western Dance Express in
Piqua. He was a former Boy Scout.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 2:00 to
5:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, followed by
Eastern Star and Masonic Services and Eulogies given by Rev. Thomas
Weeks and Pastor Pete Kontra. Memorial contributions may be made to the
