Robert Franklin Cook
Robert Franklin Cook (Cowboy), 64 of Greenville, went to be with the
Lord May 7, 2012. Robert was born in Greenville, Ohio on May 1,
1948. He is the son of Robert Lee Cook and Edith Elizabeth Cook (Wood)
He is survived by his mother; 4 sisters, Pamela (Lee) Cable, Mildred
(Don) Langston, Karen (Ron) Besecker, Kathy (Brent) Weidner; one
brother, Phillip (Arin) Cook; two daughters, Alissa (Michael)
Schillinger, Amanda (Philip) Chiappini; two grandsons, Bennett and
Easton Chiappini; special friend, Deborah Mayer, and numerous nieces
and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Cook; grandparents,
Harley and Jennie (Stump) Cook, Clisba and Margeurite (Broughman) Wood
and step grandmother Lela (Edwards) Wood.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on USS
Canopus. He was an avid sports fan, loved gardening, being
outdoors and traveling.
Services will be held on Monday May 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Zechar
Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with visitation one hour prior to
the service. Pastor Sam Shilot and Pastor John Nunnally will be
officiating. Burial with military honors by the Greenville
Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort
Jefferson, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the
Heart Hospice.
