David R. “Red” Kremer
David R. “Red” Kremer age 64, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 9:20
P.M. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his residence. Red was born
December 12, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, to Betty L. (Cramer) Kremer of
Versailles and the late Lewis A. Kremer.
Red is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruth (Ahrens) Kremer whom he
married May 30, 1968; sons & daughters-in-law, Jeff & Jodi
Kremer of Versailles, Ohio, and Dr. Jon & Vicky Kremer of
Versailles, Ohio; daughter & son-in-law, Dr. Christina “Tina”
(Kremer) & Donnie Goodson of Albany, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer,
Josh, Cole, Will, Hope, Faith, Ethan, Adam and Paige; brothers &
sisters-in-law, Tony L. & Mary Ellen Kremer of Celina, Ohio, Ron
& Sheree Kremer of Versailles, Ohio, Dan & Jackie Kremer of
Versailles, Ohio, and Ken & Julia Kremer of Versailles, Ohio;
sisters & brothers-in-law, Diana & Dale George of Versailles,
Ohio, Jo & Chuck Langenkamp of Greenville, Ohio, and Jill &
Clarence “Butch” Simons of Greenville, Ohio; brothers-in-law &
sisters-in-law, Bill & Barb Ahrens of Versailles, Ohio, Marlene
& Gale Ambos of Botkins, Ohio, Denny & Marty Ahrens of Sidney,
Ohio, Betty & Mike Jones of Sidney, Ohio, Shirley & Bob
Magoteaux of Versailles, Ohio, Gerri & Jeff Bunnell of Minster,
Ohio, and John & Peggy Ahrens of Sidney, Ohio; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Red served 6 years in the Ohio National Guard. Red was the former owner
of Kremer Roofing Inc., in Versailles for 35 years. Red worked for 12
years at Delco Moraine in Dayton, while starting his roofing
business. Red was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in
Versailles; Versailles Knights of Columbus; Versailles Fraternal Order
of Eagles; Versailles Lions Club and Greenville Elks. Red loved his
wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter, horseman and
raised world champion beagles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday,
November 10, 2012 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev.
Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Military Services will be conducted by the
Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard immediately following Mass at church.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and
Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home
in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart
