Elberta Grubb
Elberta Grubb, 89, of Kettering and formerly of New Madison, passed
away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at The Oaks of West Kettering. She
was born in Tennessee on April 19, 1923 to the late Charles and Naomi
Wells.
Elberta was a former housekeeper at Miami Valley Hospital. She loved
spending time with her family, as well as reading and and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, Elberta is preceded in death by a brother,
Charles Wells; a sister, Henrietta Ellison; and two sons, Larry Walker
and Ronnie Walker.
Elberta is survived by two sons, Jerry and Shirley Walker of Tennessee
and Mark Baller of Centerville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nita
and Fred Watern of New Madison, Freda O'Bryan of Kettering, Sandra and
Ray Nelson of Moraine; four sisters, Janice Wells of Dayton,
Arania Blount of Dayton, Brenda and Doug Scott of Tennessee and
Chris Robertson of Dayton; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3
great, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 8,
2012 at 11:00 AM at Braund Funeral Home with Steve Watern being asked
to officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be
held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will
follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
