Duane E. Meyer
Duane E. Meyer, 78, of Greenville, passed away early Friday morning,
September 7, 2012 at Oakley House in Greenville.
He was born January 7, 1934 in Willowdell, OH, son of the late Carl and
Marie (Mayo) Meyer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death
by his wife, Evelyn M. Meyer on October 22, 2005.
Duane was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean
Conflict. He had spent most of his life farming and had also been
employed at the former Lambert's in Ansonia. He was a member of the
Versailles United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Kenneth (Janet) Meyer of Atlanta, GA;
nieces and nephews; Ed and Diane Huffman, Jason, Mindy,
Gabriella, and Caleigh Stebbins.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the
Brock Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be
given to State of the Heart Hospice.
