Deloris V. Hesson
Deloris V. Hesson, 95, of Yorkshire, OH, passed away early Monday
morning, April 22, 2013 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born February 23, 1918 in Lightsville, daughter of the late
Omer Elsworth and Elsie Estella (Sharp) Booker. In addition to her
parents she was preceded in death by her sister, LaVera Garland and a
great grandson.
A homemaker, Deloris helped her husband on the family farm. She was a
former member of the Yorkshire United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, George W. Hesson, whom she
married May 17, 1941; sons, Larry (Joan) Hesson of North Star, and
Robert (Paula) Hesson of Greenville; 5 grandchildren, Donna (Alan)
Jutte, Deb (Bill) Hemmelgarn, Doug (Sherry) Hesson, Sherri Robinson,
Stacey Pond; 15 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren, Angie,
Sunni, Becky, and Marcy Jett; 2 step great grandchildren; and a
brother, Donald Booker of Greenville.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 26, at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the
Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8
p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the
American Red Cross.
