Phyllis Jean Brown
Phyllis Jean Brown age 80, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday,
August 25, 2013 at 7:32 AM at the Sterling House in Greenville. Phyllis
was born November 24, 1932 in Darke County, Ohio to the late John
Virgil & Stella May (Burns) Brown.
Phyllis is survived by Dansen Brown, DeWitt Brown, Gary Resler, Leah
Dixon, Gracie Dixon, Shane Dixon and Terry Paul.
Phyllis was a 1950 graduate of Arcanum High School and a 1954 graduate
of Wilmington College where she received her Bachelor degree in
Education. Phyllis was a teacher at Franklin Monroe Schools for 6 years
and Columbus City Schools for 15 years until her retirement in 1975.
She was a member of Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church in Ft.
Jefferson, Ohio.
A Service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:30 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Doug Baker
officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke
County. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013 from
5-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State
of The Heart Hospice of Darke County. Condolences for the
