Kimberly A. Holsapple

Kimberly A. Holsapple, 51, of New Madison, passed away on February 7, 2013. Kimi was born on June 9, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Forrest and Hilda Sutton.

Kimi was a graduate of Trotwood High School. She worked at Tri Village School cafeteria and was a homemaker. Kimi was a member of the Harrison Street Baptist Church where she led praise and worship. She was a gospel singer and songwriter, and sang at other churches, fairs, retirement homes and cruise ships. Kimi enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband, getting manicures and pedicures, collecting lighthouses and taking goofy pictures. She loved family get-togethers, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Kimi always made you feel unique when you were with her and she was fiercely loyal to the people she loved. She had a nickname for everyone and was known to never meet a stranger. Kimi loved the family of God, and was always helping others in need.

Kimi is survived by her husband, Steven Holsapple; a son, Jesse and Sherry Holsapple of Eldorado; four grandchildren, Trey Luke, Hannah and Kaleb Holsapple and Madison Cook; four brothers, Michael and Sheen Sutton of Norfolk, Virginia, Danny Sutton of Liberty, Kentucky, Timothy and Janie Sutton, and Brett and Angela Sutton both of Russell Springs, Kentucky; three sisters, Patricia and Eric Parten of Alabama, Brenda Sutton of Columbus, Ohio, and Cindy and Manuel Hooten of Liberty, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Harrison Street Baptist Church in New Madison with the Rev. Kyle Hermann officiating. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or State of the Heart Hospice.
