Wolford
William E. "Bill" Wolford, 78, of Greenville, passed away early
Saturday morning, February 23, 2013 at his residence.
He was born September 1, 1934 in Greenville, son of the late Lemuel and
Gladys (Raman) Wolford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in
death by his wife Leona (Rich) Wolford on June 10, 2008.
Bill was retired as a Lieutenant for the Greenville Police Department
having served the community for 31 years. He had also driven the
delivery truck for Loudy's Office Machines in Greenville for 22 years.
He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his sons, Roger (Trish) Wolford of Greenville and
Greg (Debbie) Wolford of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jordy Wolford,
John, Michelle, David, and Philip Wolford; a great grandson, Jordy
Wolford, Jr.; step grandson, Michael (Beth) DeLong; step great
grandchildren, Dejah, Emma, and Brianne DeLong; sisters, Phyllis
Williamson of Greenville, and Carol Flory of Arcanum; and numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with police honors will be held at 2 p.m.,
Sunday, March 3, at the Bible Baptist Church, 510 Front St.,
Greenville, with Pastor Ron Isom officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1 till 2 p.m.

Bill and bring to the church with you.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the
Greenville City parks.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in
Greenville.
