Phyllis "Elaine" Dohse
Phyllis “Elaine” Dohse, age 84 of Greenville, Ohio passed away
peacefully Saturday June 15, 2013 at her residence. Elaine was
born May 5, 1929 in Union City, Indiana and was the only child of the
late Monroe and Virginia (Lephart) Puterbaugh.
Elaine will be remembered for her love of American history, her passion
for democracy and her gift as a fine drapist and seamstress. She
will be missed by her family and her faithful companion Katie Sue (her
dog).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
John T. Dohse January 30, 2010. They were married for 61 years.
She is survived by her five children and spouses: John “Fred” (Dede)
Dohse of Aiken, S.C., James “Ted” Dohse of Orlando, Fla., Virginia
(Kyle) Kagey of Greenville, Michael (Linda) Dohse of Spartanburg, S.C.
and Christopher Dohse of Saugerties, N.Y. She was the proud
grandmother of Andy Dohse, Becky McCarthy, Emily Oglesby, Amy Garrison,
Molly McMullen, Ben Dohse and Ryan Dohse as well as great grandmother
to 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 22, 2013 in
the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke
officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia
Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday 1 hour
prior to the services in the funeral home.

Garst Museum or to the Darke County Humane Society.
