Stocksdale Wilson
Eleanor L. “Ellie” Stocksdale Wilson age 79, of Greenville, Ohio passed
away at 10:45 P.M. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital in
Dayton. Ellie was born September 25, 1933 in Darke County, Ohio to the
late Glen W. & Ethel (Barnhart) Stocksdale.
Ellie is survived by her companion of over 55 years, James H. Wilson of
Greenville; son, Dennis J. Wilson of Greenville; daughter, Lynne A.
Wilson of Greenville; grandchildren, Michael & Heather Wilson of
St. Marys and Kristy Wilson of Dayton; great-grandchildren, Preston,
Parker and Peyton Wilson; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donald L.
& Pat Stocksdale of Union City, Indiana, Eugene H. & Jo Anne
Stocksdale of Greenville, Vaughn F. & Diane Stocksdale of Columbus
and Jesse E. & Connie Stocksdale of Union City, Ohio; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ellie is also preceded in death by a son,
Michael L. Wilson.
Ellie was the secretary of the Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association
and bookkeeper for her family business, Wilson Brothers Livestock and
Peoples Exchange in Greenville. Ellie was a former member of Pleasant
Valley Church of the Brethren. She loved flowers, gardening, crafts and
spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Haworth officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
