Vitalus H. "Jim" Barga
Vitalus H. “Jim” Barga, age 87, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 12:10 PM at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville,
Ohio. He was born on September 14, 1925 in Darke County, Ohio, to
the late Louis & Eleanora (Goubeaux) Barga.
He is survived by his daughters and son in law, Cheryl & Allen
Smith of Greenville and Lisa Barga of Greenville; granddaughter, Leslie
Smith of Greenville; brother Mark “John” Barga of Bradford; sisters,
Rita Borland of Sidney and Iva Wion of Greenville; as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Anna G.
Barga, whom he married on June 29, 1952 in Union City, Indiana;
siblings, Agnes Kissinger, Norbert Barga, Cecilia Gasson, Lucy
Petitjean, Bernard “Jake” Barga, Basil Barga, Martin Barga, Noah Barga,
Clara Subler, Beatrice “Patty” Barga, Leo Barga and Paul Barga.
Jim was a member of the United States Army and retired from the Darke
County Garage.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM at
Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, with Pastor Gill Krouse
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends
on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
