Helen L. Ross
Helen L. Ross age 90, of Palestine, Ohio was reunited with her husband
and son. Helen peacefully passed away at 5:00 A.M. on Friday, March 29,
2013. Helen was born January 26, 1923 in Oxford, Wisconsin to the late
Neal & Mildred (Cummings) Houslet.
Helen is survived by a granddaughter, Rachel & Bryan Duncan of
Palestine; grandson, Aaron Ross of Palestine; great-grandchildren, Evan
Duncan and Chelsea Duncan; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Schultz of
Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen is also preceded in death by her
husband, Herman E. Ross on August 4, 2001; son, Jim Ross; brother, Neal
Houslet; and sisters, Maxine Houslet and Beth Roney.
Helen was a retired school teacher and raised Standard Bred Race
Horses. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Greenville and the Darke County Harness Horseman’s Association. She was
a former member of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in
Palestine Cemetery in Palestine. The family will receive friends on
Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
