Herbert H. Stentzel
Herbert H. Stentzel, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:27
A.M. Tuesday March 19, 2013 at his residence. Herbert was born
March 23, 1925 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Herman &
Macie (Prinzing) Stentzel.
He had retired in 1990 as the assistant manager of the former
Endicott-Johnson Shoe Store of Greenville and had worked for many years
as the sexton at the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville.
Herb was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and had
served as a Deacon of the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers LeRoy,
Joseph (Joe) and Sterling Stentzel. Also Infant Cecil Stentzel
and Dona Stentzel Zigler.
Herb is survived by a nephew Lawrence LeRoy Stentzel of Wilmington,
N.C., a niece JoAnne MacPhail of San Francisco, CA. and numerous other
extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 23, 2013 in
the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. John
Person officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia
Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the
services on Saturday in the funeral home.
It was the wishes of Herb that Memorial Contributions are given to the
First Presbyterian Church.
