George)
Wehrley, Ann (Barga George), age 84, of Greenville, OH, formerly of
Versailles, OH passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Ann was
born July 17, 1928 at the family homestead near Brock, the fifth child
of Art and Carrie (Schwartz) Barga. A graduate of Versailles

together they owned and operated Frenchie’s Restaurant in Versailles

until age 80, next transferring her energy and enthusiasm to the Darke
County Community Action Partnership where she volunteered. In February
2012 she received the Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year
award. It was said that “Ann has a warm welcome smile to everyone
that visits the clothing bank. No one leaves without having made
a friend through Ann Wehrley…. Ann’s energy, bubbling personality and
happy demeanor brings a smile to the saddest of folks and melts the
hardest of hearts.” She retired from the clothing bank in
December 2012, but continued to happily carry her 20lb handbag which
contained a hammer, screwdriver, and shot glass among other things!
