Webb J. Devor
Webb J. Devor, 83, of Greenville, passed away late Sunday evening,
November 24, 2013 at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton.
He was born March 30, 1930, in Greenville, son of the late Webb E. and
Justina F. (Iddings) Devor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded
in death by his wife, Norma Jean (Tedder) Devor on April 19, 2009;
brothers, Robert, Norman, James, and Jack Devor; and sisters, Martha
Cole and Deloris Pepple.
A veteran of the US Army, Webb had served during the Korean Conflict.
He was retired from Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the VFW,
American Legion, Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Darke County
Fish and Game Club and the Darke County Democratic Party.
He is survived by his daughter, Annette Blankenship; grandchildren,
Bethaleen J. (Blankenship) Hawes, and Katrina N. Blankenship; great
grandchildren, Alana, Lilliana, and Elena Jean Blankenship; son-in-law,
Mickel Blankenship; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor
Guard will be held at 2 PM. Wednesday, November 27, at the Oliver-Floyd
Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12
PM till 2 PM. The family requests that memorial contributions be given
to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
