Sue Black, 63 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Monday September 16,
2013 at 4:55 AM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville,
Ohio. She was born March 27, 1950 in Greenville, Ohio the
daughter of Janette (Townsend) Drew of Greenville and the late Elmer
Drew.
She was a was self employed for 43 years at the Beauty Salon as a
Cosmetologist; a 43 year member of St. John Lutheran Church; worked for
Darke County Board of Elections for 42 years; she served on the Darke
County Cancer Board for 7 years; she was a member of Look Good Feel
Better; and worked as a Hair Stylist for many years at Zechar Bailey
Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother: Janette (Townsend) Drew;
husband: Steven K. Black of Greenville whom she married May 8,
1970; her daughter & son in law: Matisha & Jim Ricks of
Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Bryant Jacob Ricks & Kelby
Janette Ricks; brother & sister in law: Kyle & Donna Drew
of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces: Lauren Drew & Erin Drew.
Remembrance Celebration will be held on Friday September 20, 2013 at
10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor
Alan Knoke Officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to
8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers
memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Darke
County, St. John Lutheran Church, or State of the Heart Hospice.
