Steven D. Eadler
Steven D. Eadler, 65, of New Madison, passed away on December 26, 2014
at his residence. Steve was born on July 28, 1949 in Richmond, Indiana
to the late Forest and Evelyn (Dalrymple) Eadler.
Steve was a 1967 graduate of New Madison High School. He served
as mayor of New Madison for 13 years. Steve was on the New Madison
Village Council for 10 years and was very active in many community
activities. He was on the New Madison Fourth of July Committee, New
Madison Christmas Light Committee, and helped with the Tri-Village
Backpack Program. Steve was a member and actively involved at New
Madison United Methodist Church. Steve had also served as Past
President of the Darke County Mayors Association.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by a sister and
brother in law, Carole and Larry Koons.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lisa (Fields) Eadler;
two daughters and son in law, Michelle Griffith of Pendleton, Indiana
and Jaime and Jason Yelton of Centerville, Ohio; four grandchildren,
Garrett and Colyn Griffith, Trinity Yelton and Logan Martin; two
brothers and sister in law, Tom Eadler of New Madison, and Dave and
Robin Eadler of New Madison; a sister and brother in law, Mary Beth and
Patrick Ryan of Tipp City; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, December 31,
2014 at 11:00 AM at New Madison United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol
Duffield officiating. Friends and guests may visit the family on
Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM also at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Madison Christmas Lights,
New Madison Fourth of July Committee or to New Madison United Methodist
Church.
