Mary Ellen (Bloomfield) Woodruff, 71 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on
Sunday November 30, 2014 at 11:40 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital,
Dayton, Ohio. She was born April 14, 1943 in Lima, Ohio the
daughter of the late Ottis & Hattie Mae (Watson) Bloomfield.
She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Union City Hospital and also worked
at Fram. She was a member of the First Congregational Church; she
loved doing crafts, playing video games and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: David E.
Woodruff on July 27, 2012 whom she married July 1, 1961; her
sister: Barbara Ann (Bloomfield) Swafford.
She is survived by her children: David E. Woodruff of Rossburg,
Eugene E. Woodruff of Sidney, Kathryn Flatter of Cincinnati, Nannette
K. Spahr of Greenville; grandchildren: Jenny, Eric, Ryan, Austin,
Savannah, Jerry, Justin, & Nick; 3 great grandchildren; Beloved
best friend: Peppe; & several good friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 10:30 AM
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Ted McCurdy
officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort
Jefferson, Ohio. There will be no visitation. Memorial
contributions may be made to the First Congregational Christian Church
or Dayton Heart Hospital.
