LeRoy Landis
LeRoy Landis, age 88, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday,
February 14, 2014 at 8:25 PM at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on October 10, 1925 in Darke County, Ohio, to the
late Roy & Ruth (Byers) Landis.
He is survived by his sister and brother in law, Charlotte & Glenn
Gessler of Statesville, NC; nieces and nephews, Phillip Landis of Land
O Lakes, FL., John & April Landis of Greenville, Ronald & Janet
Light of New Bern, NC, Gayle (Light) Rader of Granger, INN, Patricia
(Landis) & Gerald Latham of Arizona, Linda(Landis) & James
Matte of Tampa, FL, Julie Gessler of Harriman, TN, Walter & Heather
(Dixon) Gessler of Statesville, NC, sister in law Jane (Caupp) landis
of Greenville
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty
(Sleppy) Landis, daughter Elizabeth Landis, brothers Clyde & Carol
Landis, and Wayne Landis, sister Irene (Landis) & Rush Light and
Nephew Robert Light.
LeRoy was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville.
There will be service held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2 PM at
St John Lutheran Church, 7418 St. Rt. 121 North, Greenville, Ohio, with
Pastor Patti Morlockofficiating. Burial will follow in the St. John
Lutheran Cemetery, Greenville. Family will receive friends one hour
prior to the service at church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home,
Greenville, Ohio.
