Carolyn M. Mobbs
Carolyn M. Mobbs, age 77, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 11:05 A.M.
on Friday, July 11, 2014 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in
Greenville. Carolyn was born January 21, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio to
the late Rafe & Virginia (Rickman) Burden.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Sharon Ester of Greenville,
Christina & Junior Harper of Missouri, Geraldine Hurd of
Greenville, Timothy Hurd of Greenville and Ty Mobbs of Missouri;
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Iowna
McCowan of Muncie, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her
husband, J.C. Mobbs on October 4, 1985 whom she married on April 15,
1978; brothers, Kenneth, Harlen, Arthur, Richard and James Burden; and
sisters, Juanita Camacho and Wanda Burden.
Carolyn was a homemaker. She formerly worked for Darke County Red Cross
and Walmart in Greenville. Carolyn was a member of the First Assembly
of God in Greenville. Carolyn organized and started the Better
Breather’s Club in 2009. She was an avid book reader.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Sylvia McKibben
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family
will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral
home.
