Aubrey A. Flory
Aubrey A. Flory, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on June
12, 2014. She was born in Maury County, Tennessee, March 1, 1918,
to Arthur and Ivy Etta (Lunn) Cole.
Aubrey was married for 50 years to Russell W. Flory who preceded her in
death in 1990. Surviving are their three children, Nancy Doseck
(Jim), Carol Voigt and Larry Flory (Connie). Grandchildren Lori Trosper
(Bruce), Janelle Cross (Steve), Jamie Doseck (Bonnie), Robert E. Voigt
(Elizabeth), Shelly Flory and Angie Flory. Great Grandchildren
Tyler and Jennifer Greer, Bethany and Brittany Doseck, Joe and Sam
Cross, and Connor Voigt. And 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Also surviving are sisters Martha (Polly) Burgess of Savannah,
Tennessee, and Shelia West of Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Preceding her in death were 3 brothers Harlan, Elgan, and Thomas Cole,
and sister Edith Shelton all of Columbia, Tennessee, and son-in-law
Robert Voigt.
Aubrey and her husband were foster parents to numerous children
including Kelli (Kelly) Holdeman of Greenville. She also babysat
for many babies whom she enjoyed teaching Christian Songs.
Aubrey and Russell were farmers for most of their married lives.
She taught her children and grandchildren how to care for the cows,
pigs, and chickens. Gardening was also an important part of her
life. She was the owner/operator of Audrey’s Beauty Shop after
completing beauty school, which she was very proud. Aubrey, also
known to many as Audrey, was active in church throughout her
life. Over the years church families included Savona, Weaver’s
Station, Ft. Jefferson Methodist, and Bible Fellowship.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 2:30 PM at
Oak Grove Cemetery Fort Jefferson, Ohio with Rev. Doug Baker
officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are
being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. In
lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to State of the
Heart Hospice 1350 North Broadway Greenville, Ohio 45331.
The family wishes to thank the Oakley House and State of the Heart
Hospice staff for their care and support of Aubrey.
