Janet Kay (Shroyer) Hunt, age 60, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August
10, 1953 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Robert “Bob” & Dorothy
Jean (Klipstine) Shroyer.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Hunt of Greenville, Ohio, whom she
married on July 27, 1974; daughters and sons in law, Julie & Kevin
Stringer of Kettering, Ohio, Amy & Justin Schoen of Greenville, and
Heather Hunt of Greenville; grandchildren, Kennedy & Emily Schoen
and Aiden, Nolan, & Adalyn Stringer; twin sister and brother in
law, Joann & Bob Nelson of Greenville, sisters and brothers in law,
Judy Voiles of Greenville, Janie & Butch Clark of Bradford; brother
and sister in law, Mike & Sue Shroyer of Greenville; as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother in
law, Tom Voiles and mother in law, Dorothy Hunt.
Janet was a 1971 graduate of Greenville High School. She
graduated from Good Samaritan School of Radiology where she received
the Mallinckrodt award for outstanding performance. She was an
X-Ray Technician for Good Samaritan Hospital Dayton, Coshocton
Hospital, Wayne HealthCare and AGA Health Care. She was a member
of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville. Janet loved cooking
but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
There will be a service held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 10:30 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Peter Menke
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery,
Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11,
2014 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions are given to
the Life Connection of Ohio (www.lifeconnectionofohio.org) or St. Paul
Lutheran Church.
