Ella
M. Benning age 76, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 11:01 A.M. on
Friday, November 7, 2014 in Shelby County. Ella was born April 19, 1938
in Auglaize County, Ohio to the late Sylvanus T. & Ruth B.
(Katterhenry) Kuck.
Ella is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Jeffrey &
Jeannie Heffner of Hilliard, Ohio; daughters & son-in-law, Diana L.
McDonald & Bill Harrolle of Olney, Illinois and Erin & Dale
Meyer of Versailles, Ohio; step-children, William E. & Rhonda
Heffner III of Dublin, Ohio, Gary & Jenny Heffner of St. Marys,
Ohio, Terry & Linda Heffner of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Cathy
& John Taylor of Norway, Michigan; 24 grandchildren; 2
great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Cindy
Kuck of Celina, Ohio; sister-in-law, Jean Kuck of California; and 7
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ella was also preceded in death by her
husband, William E. Heffner Jr.; and brother, Kenneth K. Kuck.
Ella was a registered nurse at Joint Township District Memorial
Hospital in St. Marys from 1960 to 1991. Ella attended the Covington
Presbyterian Church in Covington, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 12,
2014 at Covington Presbyterian Church 30 North Pearl Street Covington
with Pastor Greg Kurtz and Rev. Charles McDonald officiating. Burial
will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville, Ohio. The family
will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar
Funeral Home in Versailles and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30
A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Versailles High School Musical Theatre.
