Bob L. Mikesell
Bob L. Mikesell, 83 Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday November
19, 2014 at 2:30 PM at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center,
Greenville, Ohio. He was born February 16, 1931 in Union City,
Indiana the son of the late: Lovelle (Hindsley) Mikesell &
Ira & Zelma (Thornburg) Mikesell. He was a farmer and a
member of Oakland Church of the Brethren; he worked with disaster
services for the church.
He is preceded in death by his parents & step mother; his
wife: Juanita M. (Prether) Mikesell on April 29, 2014 whom he
married December 28, 1952; brother in law: Charles Prether.
He is survived by his children: Marjalie & Robert Schaaf of
Greenville, Paul & Cathy Mikesell of New Madison, Bruce & Terri
Mikesell of New Madison, & Kent & Dawn Mikesell of New Paris;
numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister: Linda
Lauderdale & Ken Myers of Portland, Oregon; brother in law:
Bob & Lucy Prether of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister in
law: Edie Prether of Greenville, Ohio.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday
December 7, 2014 at the Brethren Retirement Community Chapel 750
Chestnut Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Fred Bernhard and
Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Family will receive friends from
3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday December 7, 2014 at the Brethren
Retirement Community Chapel. A private graveside will be held at
the convenience of the family in Greenmound Cemetery in New
Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren
Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund or Oakland Church of the
Brethren. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey
Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
