Virginia L. “Ginny” Wandle, 95, of Greenville, passed away early Sunday
morning, November 23, 2014 at the Village Green Healthcare Center in
Greenville.
She was born April 23, 1919 in Darke County, daughter of the late
Joseph L. and Maude R. (Hartman) Hart. In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by her husband’s, George “Tex” Erney; and Oren
Wandle; a daughter, Dorothy Ward: 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert,
Dale, and Wayne Hart; and 6 sisters, Blanche Bateman, Ruby Stickleman,
Gladys Thompson, Lucille Stickleman, Dorothy Denson, and Annabelle
Sidle.
A homemaker, Ginny was retired from the former Royal Garment in
Ansonia. She was a member of the Greenville Missionary Church.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Rebecca) Baker of Ansonia, Sue
(Wayne) Detling of Greenville, Carl (Joyce) Baker of Arcanum, and
Robert Baker of DeGraff, OH; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren;
and 13 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, with Pastor Gary Oser
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5-8
p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State
of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway St., Greenville, OH 45331.
