Kenneth Jay “Kenny”
Lane
Kenneth Jay “Kenny” Lane, age 69, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Monday, October 6, 2014 at 5:33 PM at his residence. He was born
on September 17, 1945 in Union City, Indiana, to his late father
Kenneth Oliver Lane and late mother and step father Pauline (Beam)
& Orval Leaver.
He is survived by his wife, Carla (Phillips) Lane of Greenville; son
and daughter in law, Cody & Brianna Lane of Greenville; daughters
and sons in law, Kela & Eric Plamper of Medina, Ohio, and Vicki Lyn
& Jamie Reed of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Josef, Natalie and
Oliver Plamper and Olivia and Sophia Reed; as well as numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Kenny was a member of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam
War. He worked at Union City Body Company and Workhorse in Union
City. He loved fishing, hunting and most of all being with his
grandkids that referred to him as their Pappoo. He helped fix
Fort Greenville and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
There will be a memorial gathering held on Friday, October 10, 2014
from 5-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. It
is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions are given to
the Wounded Warrior Project.
