Cecil C. Holland
Cecil C. Holland, age 85 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:20 A.M.
Monday April 13, 2015 at his residence. Cecil was born October
26, 1929 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Raymond L. and
Mary Marie (Goens) Holland.
He was retired following 10 years of employment at International
Harvester and 36 years at Corning Glass as a press operator.
He was a member of the Bethel Long Church of Liberty Township Ohio and
loved playing sports, particularly excelling in basketball and
baseball. Cecil was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals
and the Dayton Flyers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife
Charlotte Mae (Burden) Holland November 6, 2012. They were
married August 8, 1949. Also brothers Gene Holland, Verlin
Holland, James Holland, Bill Holland and Jack Holland; Sister
Betty Johnson and best friend Tom Hope.
Cecil is survived by his children Debbie Cline of Mooreland, Ind. and
Patti Shepherd of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren Erica (Ken)
Iwamura, Jeremy (Stephanie) Cline, Natalie Shepherd and Amber Shepherd;
great grandchildren Brandon Iwamura, Trevor Iwamura, Christina
Martinez, Jaden Martinez and Bryce Shepherd; Sister Donna
(Phillip) Clemens of New Castle, Ind. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday April 16, 2015 in
the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Pamela King
officiating. Burial will follow in the Bass Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday
in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
Heartland Hospice.
