Georgetta Monnin
Georgetta Monnin, age 83, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Saturday,
April 11, 2015 at 11:40 AM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in
Greenville, Ohio. She was born on July 24, 1931 in New Castle,
Indiana, to the late Oral and Mary (King) McClure.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Monnin of Versailles whom she
married on August 9, 1969; daughter, Denise Casto of Reston, Virginia;
grandchildren, Holden and Taylor Casto; sisters and brothers in law,
Delores (Frank) Hittson of Austin, Texas, and Martha (Milford Irvin)
Whitcomb of Muncie, Indiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers,
Horace and Charles McClure and sister, Donna Jean McClure.
Georgetta was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and worked as a
nurse for Dr. Pippenger in Muncie, Indiana.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, April 14,
2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Ohio, with
Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in the St.
Valbert Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends
on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 9-10 AM at
Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
St. Denis Catholic Church, State of the Heart Hospice or donor’s choice.
