James L. Peck
James L. Peck, 79, of West Manchester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly
on August 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Montgomery
County, Ohio to the late Herman and Marjorie (Boyer) Peck.
Jim graduated from Brookville High School. He worked at GM where he
retired after 34 years. Jim was a member of the Free and Accepted
Masons in Arcanum. Most of all, Jim loved his Guernsey dairy cattle,
and he always looked forward to showing them at the Darke County
Fair. Jim served our country honorably in the United States Army
Jim is survived by his three sons and daughter in law, Brian and
Cynthia Peck of New Paris, Barry Peck of Arcanum, and Lonnie Peck of
Trotwood; two daughters and sons in law, Dianne and Brent Driver of
Greenville, and Sherry and Jim Jodrey of Winchester, Ohio; 17
grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Dutchie.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, September 2,
2015 at 11:00 AM at Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison with Pastor
Laura Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery
in New Madison will full military honors. Family and friends may visit
on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm also at the funeral home
with Masonic services being held. The family request memorial
contributions be made to the Darke County Agricultural Society.
