Shirley Kay (Smith) Leal, age 66, of Union City, Ohio passed away at
11:32 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at her residence. Shirley was
born March 8, 1948 in Pike County, Kentucky to Ruby Edith (Hunt) Smith
of Kentucky and the late Okey Smith Sr.
Shirley is survived by her children, Brian & Amber Smith of
Greenville, Tracey Enicks & Leon Rogers of Greenville, Jeanna Smith
& fiancée, Brian Townsend of Palestine, Joseph Smith of Greenville
and Sherril Davidson & Chris Henning of Covington; 20 grandchildren
and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers & sister-in-law, Okey Smith Jr.
of Kentucky and Terry & Sabrina Smith of Kentucky; sisters &
brothers-in-law, Fayetta & Troy Slater of Kentucky, Katrina Jones
of Kentucky, Sherri & Allen Hubbard of Kentucky and Sylvia Garret
of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Shirley was also preceded in death by her
granddaughter, Brianna Smith; and sisters, Dianna Smith and Roberta
Smith.
Shirley retired in 1994 from Gade Health Care Center in Greenville
where she was a nurse’s aide. She was a member of the First Assembly of
God Church in Greenville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 25,
2015 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jeff Harper
officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 to
11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
