Shirley Aleene Lipps
Shirley Aleene Lipps, age 79 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 7:23
A.M. Thursday January 1, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. Shirley was
born October 30, 1935 in Montgomery County, Ohio and the daughter of
the late Loren C. and Mary A. (Nyman) Prior.
Shirley was a homemaker, seamstress, loved gardening, crocheting,
crafts, and when the children were younger served as a Cub Scout Mother
and the family referee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Freddie J. Lipps November 20, 2004; son Thomas Lipps in 2014 and her
brothers Ronnie and David Prior.
Shirley is survived by her children Teresa Green of Greenville, Rick
Lipps of Greenville, Steve (Donna) Lipps of New Madison, Diana Miller
of Vandalia, Greg Lipps of Greenville and Jason Lipps of
Greenville; 7 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and a
lifelong family friend Gwen Hurd.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday January 7, 2015
in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Patrick
Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine
Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00
P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the services in
the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
Hospice of Dayton.
