Philip D. Ridenour
Philip D. Ridenour age 84, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 5:32 P.M.
on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Versailles Health Care Center.
Philip was born August 5, 1930 in Versailles, Ohio to the late William
& Ruby (Pearce) Ridenour.
Philip is survived by his wife, M. Yvonne (Crowell) Ridenour whom he
married February 10, 1951; daughter, Gretchen Turpen-Sahlin &
husband, Monte of Kettering; granddaughter, Najwa Jones & husband,
Todd of Dayton; brother & sister-in-law, William & Lois
Ridenour of California; and nephews, Steven Ridenour of California and
Phil Ridenour of California.
Philip was a retired sales representative for Ideal Electric. He was a
member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles. Phil was also a member
of the Versailles Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347, Versailles
Masonic Lodge #290 F & AM, and Creekside Breakfast Club. Philip
never knew a stranger and was always making new friends. He enjoyed
going to the Sweet Shop in Versailles to meet his cronies.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 12,
2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church 204 East Wood Street Versailles with
Pastor Robert Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn
Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from
2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles and
Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church. Memorial
contributions may be made Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
