Doris Opal Harnish
Doris Opal Harnish, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 8:30 P.M.
Thursday July 2, 2015 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home Greenville,
Ohio. Doris was born June 29, 1937 in Darke County Ohio and the
daughter of the late Joseph Dale “Ted” and Edna (Byrum) Harnish.
She had formerly worked as a switchboard telephone operator for United
Telephone Company, a 12 year employee of General Athletic, 18 year
employee as a secretary at Hobart Brothers of Troy, and retired in 1999
from a job she loved as head of overdue books at the Greenville Public
Library.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother
Melvin Eugene Harnish and her sisters Roma Jean Harnish and Maxine
Naomi Harnish.
Doris is survived by her brother Paul Dale Harnish of Greenville.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday July 7,
2015 in the Lisbon Cemetery Union City, Indiana with Pastor Terry
Haworth officiating. There will be no public visitation.
