Holloway
Eleanor “June” Holloway, 87, of Greenville, OH, passed away on July 28,
2015 at Heartland of Greenville.
She was born March 31, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late
Goldie (Leffler) Richards. In addition to her mother, June was preceded
in death by her step-father, Herbert Richards and her sisters Joan
Crawford and Susie McKeller.
June moved from New Carlisle to Greenville in 2014 with her husband of
68 years, Carl Holloway. She graduated from Roosevelt High School
in Dayton and worked as a long distance telephone operator for Ohio
Bell and later as a beautician in Huber Heights. June enjoyed
being a homemaker, Cub Scout den mother and wife through the
years.
She is survived by her husband Carl, who retired from Dayton Reliable
Tool. Also survived by her children, Edward (Margaret) Holloway,
Karen (Earl) Freeman-Lang, Douglas (companion Linda) Holloway and Carla
(companion Joe) Monnin. June has six grandchildren, Timothy and
Lisa Holloway, Tamara Cary, Shawn Armstrong, Aimee and Nicholas
Monnin. She also has five great grandchildren, Chantel, Amanda
and Sarah Holloway, Samuel and Adam Cary and her sister Delores Wooster.
Services will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third
Street, Dayton, OH, 2PM Monday, August 3, 2015. Burial will follow in
the Dayton National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 9:30AM until 11AM at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway St., Greenville, Ohio.
