James A. "Jim" Cox
James A. “Jim” Cox, 53, of Rossburg, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday
afternoon, March 1, 2015 at his residence.
He was born April 23, 1961 in Union City, IN, son of the late Harry and
Pearl (Lambert) Cox. In addition to his parents he was preceded in
death by a granddaughter, Grace Lynne Thornhill; and his father in law,
Robert Michael.
Jim worked in the maintenance department at RAMCO Rotor since 2003.
Prior to that he had worked at the former Corning in Greenville in the
batch house.
He was also a farmer and loved spending time with his grandkids and
attending their sporting events.
He is survived by Sandra Thornhill and their daughter, Jamie M. Cox;
step children, Chad (Nicky) Thornhill, Shaun (Missy) Thornhill, Josh
(Sara) Thornhill, and Georgette K. Thornhill; grandchildren, Tyler,
Alia, Nathan, Madison, Tristan, JossLynne, and Colton Thornhill, Tiona
and Dez Thompson; and his mother in law, Imogene Michael.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 6, at the Oliver-Floyd
Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery
near Union City, IN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to
7 p.m.
