Wilma Jean Thompson
Wilma Jean Thompson, age 81, of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of
Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015
at 4:47 PM at her residence. She was born on April 24, 1933 in
Waverly, Ohio, to the late William Delbert & Gladys Edna (Smith)
Brown.
Wilma was married to Ronald Keith Thompson on May 2, 1954 for 36
years. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kris &
Matthias Roll of Greenville; grandsons, Jeffrey M. Roll and Andrew Roll
who were the highlights of her life along with their golden retriever’s
Rex and Tyro. She is also survived by her brother Zach Brown of
Washington Court House, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers,
Bill, Ron and Garry Brown.
She had many good jobs throughout the years with one of her favorites
being at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Washington Court House. She
had an eye for detail, decorating and her home was always
immaculate. She was a true believer in God and there was always
an open bible in her house. Although the family knows that she is
in a better place she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Thursday, March 5,
2015 at 6:30 PM at EUM Church, 111 Devor Street, Greenville, Ohio, with
Pastor Sylvia McKibben officiating. There will be a private
graveside service held at the convenience of the family in the
Bloomingburg Cemetery in Bloomingburg, Ohio. Following the
service on Thursday there will be a dinner and refreshments served at
the church for everyone to enjoy.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial contributions be
given to the EUM Children’s Ministry.
