Helen A. McEldowney
Helen A. McEldowney, age 84, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on
Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 12:56 PM at her residence. She was
born on May 27, 1931 in Shelby County, Ohio, to the late Michael C.
& Agnes (Monnier) Voisard.
She is survived by her husband, Francis McEldowney of Versailles, Ohio,
whom she married on November 23, 1950; sons and daughters in law, Mike
& Judy McEldowney of Tipp City, Ohio, Phil & Susan McEldowney
of Versailles and Doug & Kelly McEldowney of Medina, Ohio;
daughters and sons in law, Diane & John Swallow of Greenville and
Deb & Rich Baker of Tipp City, Ohio; grandchildren, Betsy (Josh)
Kraft, Mykal (Angie) McEldowney, John McEldowney, Jennifer (Adam)
Didier, Craig (Nicole) Swallow, Jill Swallow, Krista (Matt) Folkerth,
Tricia McEldowney, Joey McEldowney, Michelle Baker and Alex Baker; 9
great grandchildren, brother, Cyril Voisard of Versailles; sister, Rose
Henry of Versailles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers,
Jim, John, Robert and Carl Voisard and sister, Florence Smith.
Helen was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and Daughters of
Isabella. She retired in 1997 after working in the Versailles
School cafeteria for 16 years. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing,
collecting bears, cooking and playing cards.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, June 1, 2015
at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Ohio, with Rev.
Fr. Ron Haft celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert
Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends on
Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2-7 PM and Monday from 9-10 AM at Bailey
Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
