Betty M. Beard
Betty M. Beard age 87, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:20 A.M. on
Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Heartland of Greenville. Betty was born
June 19, 1928 in Greenville to the late Arthur O. & Edna (McClain)
Lehman.
Betty is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Marsha & Jack
Baker of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Beard of Greenville;
grandchildren, Michelle & Nate Stephenson, John Paul & Sarah
Beard, Jeremy & Renee Jontz and Chris Jontz; 6 great-grandchildren;
brother, Robert D. Lehman of Florida, Frances Falknor of Wisconsin; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her
husband, John Junior Beard on October 25, 2008 whom she married August
24, 1946; son, J. Michael “Mike” Beard on September 12, 2013; daughter,
Sharon Beard in infancy; and brothers, Charles B., Melvin L. & Ray
Lehman.
Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Stelvideo Christian Church
where she belonged to the Ladies Aid of the church. Betty was a former
Girl Scout and 4-H Leader.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, October 23,
2015 at Zechar Bailey funeral home with Rev. Tracy Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will
receive friends on Friday from 11:00 to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
