Marty L. Cain
Marty L. Cain, age 68, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday,
October 13, 2015 at 7:47 PM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center,
Greenville, Ohio. He was born on February 19, 1947 in Greenville,
Ohio, to the late Ora & Jeannette (Yohey) Cain.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Beverly (Olwine) Cain of
Arcanum, Ohio, whom he married on January 8, 1966; daughters & sons
in law, Sheila (Robert) Allen of Tipp City, Ohio, and Shelly (Duane)
Byers of Arcanum, Ohio; sons and daughters in law, Tim (Jennifer) Cain
of Tipp City, Ohio, and Tom (Jennifer) Cain of Greenville;
grandchildren, Dustin Byers, Ashley Whiting, Marissa Cain, Bradly
Byers, Zach Whiting, Madeline Cain, Ethan Cain and Nickolas Cain;
sister, Charlene Perdue of Augusta, Georgia; niece, Lisa Perdue; 2
great nephews; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Marty retired from Corning after 30 years of service. He enjoyed
fishing, boating, hunting and most of all spending time with his
children and grandchildren. He was a member of the United States
Marine Corp serving in the Vietnam War and was a lifelong member of the
VFW.
There will be a service held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Joe
LeMaster officiating. Burial will follow in the Newcomer
Cemetery, Franklin Township with a Graveside Military Service conducted
by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Family will receive
friends on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the funeral
home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
Darke County Cancer Association or State of the Heart Hospice.
