"Charlie" Koch
Charles Wayne “Charlie” Koch, age 50, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away
on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 5:45 AM at his residence. He
was born on January 12, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio, to Veronica S. (George)
Koch of Portsmouth, Ohio, and the late Chester Ralph Koch, Sr.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Cathy L.
(Mummert) Koch of Versailles, whom he married on June 4, 1994; daughter
and son in law, Amanda & Ryan Peiffer of Versailles; sons and
daughter in law, Joshua & Amy Koch of Gettysburg and Christopher
Kendig of Versailles; grandchildren, Logan Makayla, Jonathan Michael
and Abigail Marie; brother, Chester Koch, Jr. of Piketon, Ohio; sister
and brother in law, Debbie & James Schwaumberger of Portsmouth,
Ohio; mother in law, Edith Mummert of Versailles; brother in law, David
Mummert of Versailles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of the United States Navy and worked as a truck driver
for over 20 years with 10 of those being a team driver with his wife
Cathy. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed being with his
family.
There will be a service held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 4:00 PM
at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Family will
receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home before the
service. There will be no burial.
In lieu of flowers it is the wishes of the family that memorial
contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice. Condolence
