Barbara June Knox
Barbara June Knox, age 80, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday,
April 27, 2016 at 1:10 AM at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering,
Ohio. She was born on September 21, 1935 in Soldier, Kentucky, to
the late Oather Jackson & Catherine (Cornett) Bowen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years James Knox of
Arcanum, Ohio; daughter and son in law, Jill & Eric Brown of
Arcanum, Ohio; son, James Daryn Knox of Oregon; grandchildren, Niles
Brown and Mitch Brown; brother in law, Joe Knox of Massachusetts;
sister in law, Norma Stidham of Dayton, Ohio; nephews, Ralph Underwood
and Dale (Cathy) Underwood; great niece, Jenna (Richie) Adams; great
nephew, Derrick (Amber) Underwood; as well as several great great
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded by her brothers, Hubert Dale
Bowen and Bert Bowen; and sister, Freda Louise Barnhart.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00
PM at Castine Church of the Brethren, 624 US Rt. 127 S., Castine, Ohio,
with Pastor Gary Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the
Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive
friends on Saturday at 11:00 AM until the time of the service at
church. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey
Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers it is the wishes of the family that memorial
contributions be given to Castine Church of the Brethren or Cancer
Association of Darke County.
