James A. Conner
James A. Conner, age 78, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Saturday,
April 23, 2016 at the Brethren Home in Greenville, OH.
He was born Tuesday, February 15, 1938 in Dayton, OH, a son of the late
Esther Broughman.
James was retired from Rogers Feed and Grain. He was an active member
of the Pitsburg, Ohio Lions Club for almost 50 years, up until his
death. Jim and Phyllis were heavily involved with the Stillwater Center
in Englewood, OH. They orchestrated an annual car show, beginning in
2003, to help provide the equipment needed to improve the quality of
life for the severely handicapped residence residing at the center. His
greatest joy was his family and grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Phyllis Conner; his
children and their spouses, Jerry and Robin Coffield of Englewood, OH,
Carrie and Dave Sharp of Greenville, OH, Heidi and Jeff Wolfe of
Greenville, OH, Teri Conner of TX, and Jackie Andrews of FL; James is
also survived by eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday,
April 28, 2016 at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Chaplin
Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM to
7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Lions Club will hold a service
Wednesday at 6:45 PM.
