Marilyn Eley
Marilyn Eley, 88, of New Madison, passed away April 25, 2016 at The
State of the Heart Hospice Care Center at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
Marilyn was born in Darke County, Ohio on October 18, 1927 to the late
Orville and Vera (Eyer) Hoff.
Marilyn attended the Eldorado United Methodist Church. She was a member
of the New Madison Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion
Post 245 Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her
Husband, Donald Eley and her son, Jan Eley.
Marilyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jane Eley
of Brookville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Clif Pearson
and Jody and Mike Fisherback, all of New Madison; a daughter-in-law,
Nancy Eley of Marshall MI; nine grandchildren; twenty great
grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; four sisters and
brother-in-law, Barbara Moore of Eldorado, Martha and Dewayne Burns of
Grand Haven, MI, Mary Pipenger of Greenville, and Joyce Harrison of
Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Braund Pope Funeral Home
on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry Campbell being
asked to officiate. Friends may visit prior to the service from 12-2 PM
also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions be given to the State of the
Heart Care or to the Oakley Place.
Arrangements are entrusted to Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison.
