Mary Alice Rismiller
Mary Alice Rismiller, age 72, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away on Sunday,
April 10, 2016 at 12:35 AM at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie,
Indiana. She was born on December 14, 1943 in Greenville, Ohio,
to Mary (Shell) Henning Baker Lane and the late John Henning.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 52 years,
John William Rismiller of Ansonia, Ohio, whom she married on January
12, 1964; sons and daughters in law, Jeff & Janell Rismiller of
Ansonia and Jerry & Neolita Rismiller of Garrett, IN; daughter and
son in law, Jennifer & Brad Shook of Ansonia; grandchildren, Jacob,
Jedd and Jeremy Rismiller, Hannah Rismiller, Mitchell, Marissa, Michael
and Mason Shook; siblings, Leonard Baker of Greenville, Martha Everman,
Bertha Archey and Wilma Flack all of Ansonia; sister in law and brother
in law, Jodi & Dick Hufford of Versailles; as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her brother Ralph
Henning.
Mary retired in 2012 from Ansonia Schools as a Special Ed
Teacher. She also worked at St. Mary’s School in Greenville,
Bradford Schools, and taught computer classes at Edison Community
College. She was the owner and operator of Chat & Curl Saloon
in Ansonia and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville and
the Motor Coach Association. She was a 1962 graduate of
Greenville High School before attended Wright State University where
she received a bachelor’s and master’s degree. She was a
volunteer at Garst Museum, loved to read, sew, camp, travel and attend
grandchildren activities.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM
at St. John Lutheran Church, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Don Bachman
officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Church
Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2016
from 5-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville as well as one
hour prior to the service at the church.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
the Arthritis Foundation.
