Evelyn Unger
Evelyn Unger, 98 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 25,
2016 at 12:00 PM at Oakley Place, Greenville, Ohio. She was born
December 16, 1918 in Darke County, Ohio the daughter of the late George
Edward & Mary (Michael) Alspaugh. She retired from Hannah’s
Garden Center. She was a member of Painter Creek Church of the
Brethren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Darrell
“Doc” Unger whom she married February 17, 1940; brother & sister in
law: Carl Nolan & Jean Alspaugh; brother in law: Dallas
Lucas.
She is survived by her children: Lowell & Nina Unger of
Greenville, Beverly & Steve Foster; grandchildren: Kim
(Scott) Stickley, Craig (Katrina) Unger, Kathy (John) Bachmann; great
grandchildren: Clay (Savanah) Stickley & Jordan Stickley,
Allison & Lane Unger, Julia & Elena Bachmann; sister:
Treva Lucas of Greenville; numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Mel Musser
officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of
the Heart Care.
