Helen M. Mangen

Helen M. Mangen, age 89, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 12:20 P.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Versailles Health Care Center in Versailles. Helen was born September 25, 1926 in Piqua, Ohio to the late John Floyd Martin & Edith Mae (Sullenberger) Martin Ellis.

Helen is survived by her children, Ann Crumrine & husband, Roger of Bellefontaine, Pat Cochran Smith & husband, Clifford of Beavercreek and James Mangen of Ansonia; grandchildren, Jessica Bolin, Bridget Adam, Molly Moore, Timothy Crumrine and Robert Crumrine; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her step-father, Wilbur Ellis; and husband, Norman J. Mangen on June 19, 2002 whom she married November 8, 1950.

Helen was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial following in Holy Family Cemetery in Frenchtown. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
