Harry Kenneth Chancey
Harry Kenneth Chancey, age 86 of Rossburg, Ohio passed away at 2:36
P.M. Thursday January 28, 2016 at State of the Heart Hospice Care
Center Greenville, Ohio. He was born April 16, 1929 in
Parkersburg, West Virginia and the son of the late Harry D. and Tressie
Beatrice (Perkins) Chancey.
Harry was retired from the Darke County Highway Garage where he had
been employed for 25 ½ years. Some of Harry’s hobbies consisted of
quilting, gardening, as well as working in the greenhouse and canning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alma
G. (Reinheimer) Chancey January 10, 2006. They were married June
19, 1948. Also grandsons Kenneth Stewart in 1964 and Jack Stewart
in 2008 and his sister Muriel Jean Lutz.
He is survived by his daughters Christina (Ronald) Couchot of Rossburg
and Corinna (Rick) Alexander of Versailles; grandchildren Debbie
Stewart, Dion & Cassandra Stewart, Dallas & Terri
Stewart, Chad (Denise) Alexander and Krista (Ryan) Bernard; great
grandchildren Cole (Kristen) Stewart, Beth Stewart and friend
Brandon, Mindy (Andy) Ooten, Hope Stewart, Joshua Stewart
and friend Harley, Kelsey Stewart and friend Joe, John
Stewart, Alisa Stewart, Ashton Stewart, Gabriel Stewart, Leah
Alexander, Kinley Bernard, Autumn Stewart, Hunter Stewart, Kayden
Stewart and Emma Jane Ooten as well as numerous nieces and
nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd
Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville
Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00
P.M. until 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions are given to
Darke County Humane Society, Rossburg Fire Department or Sate of the
Heart Hospice of Darke County.
