Albert W. “Al” Widener
Albert W. “Al” Widener, age 76, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 5:43 AM at Heartland of Greenville, Greenville,
Ohio. He was born on June 24, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late
John W. & Evelyn (Mitchell) Widener.
He is survived by his wife Grace (Baker) Widener of Greenville, Ohio,
whom he married on December 28, 1957; daughters and sons in law, Sherri
& Robert Morris of Riley Twp., MI, and Jodi & Mike Eaglowski of
Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah Birt) Widener, Tera (Joe)
Morris, Krista (Bill Spooner) Morris, Robert Morris, Mitchell
Eaglowski, Murphy (Brittney) Eaglowski and Austine (Zachary) Walker;
great grandchildren, Kali Meyers, Piper Widener, Elle Morris, Quinn
Spooner and Emmry Eaglowski; siblings, Dann Widener, Raymond Widener,
Ronnie Widener, John Widener, Jim Widener, Roselynne Widener and Sharon
Bowman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Terry
Widener; brother, Harry Edward Widener and sister Sue Frye.
Al worked as a car detailer for several local dealerships and was an
avid Nascar fan.
There will be a service held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Joe Soley
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends
on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
the Darke County Cancer Association.
